GOST is an acronym used for gosudarstvennyy standart, a group of technological standards for products first made by the USSR and static used end-to-end the majority separate former Soviet states. The one exceptions are the Windy States of Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia, which precede EU requirements. Ukraine at the moment follows GOST standards although those situation could change in the forward due to the currently aggressive relations in the middle Kiev and Moscow.

GOST began in the 1920’s, when the freshly made USSR seeded Gosstandart, a state bureau tasked with of scribbling, updating, printing, and dispersing the standards. Major modifications were developed pursuing the end of Earth Battle Twice, and the one modern GOST standards could be followed backwards to 1968 whilst the first codex government standardization was sold.
Standardization would be specially major in the Soviet Union, since as the economic system was government controlled the government was required to ensure who factories were copying not different operations and guidelines or differently there would have been a better possibility of finished goods proving incompatible with each other. Since the Soviet Union collapsed at the beginning of the 1990’s, GOST did not hide with it. Alternatively it became an global body, cooperating with the firstly independent ex-Soviet states to be sure big standards were motionless being met. It now functions beneath the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), a regional organization similar to the EU. GOST certification is a broad concept and there are multiple certificates available. A few, such as safety and environmental standards, are obligatory.
Others are by choice, but GOST certification is largely known throughout the CIS as showing class. As a result clients are generally more willing to part with their bucks when they see a GOST symbol stuck to a product.
